Brampton News Story

Alconbury & Brampton Surgeries Newsletter Feb. 2018

Alconbury Pharmacy: We still await formal notification of when the new Pharmacy will open in the village but anticipate that this will happen before the license expires on 1st March 2018. Once the pharmacy is open we will have 3 months to gradually transfer the services of patient’s resident within a mile of the Pharmacy to their chosen Pharmacy Service. Apologies that we have not issued any further information to date but we are awaiting guidance from NHSE regarding this process. We would like to reassure you that we will do our utmost to ensure a smooth transition of services for our patients.

Brampton Reconfiguration.
We are in the process of converting an admin office into a consulting room to enable us to accommodate an additional GP at Brampton Surgery. Please bear with us as we make the modifications necessary to increase capacity at Brampton to meet patient demand.
Team Changes; At the beginning of February we were joined by GP trainee Dr Singh who will be with the Practice for at least 12 months. February and March are also busy months with us hosting medical students from

Cambridge University.
Albram: We would like to thank Albram for their ongoing efforts to coordinate the volunteer drivers scheme. This is a service provided to patients for minimal cost which can be accessed by all to attend appointments either at the surgery or elsewhere in the local Health Community. Albram are always keen to recruit additional drivers to support the scheme so if you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis then perhaps this could be an ideal way to give back to the community.
