Face to Face Council Advice and Information - re current flooding issues - this aft at Lady Olivia Centre

Following the recent flooding of Brampton and the impact it continues to have on some of our community, Huntingdonshire District Council's Advice and Information team are available this afternoon in the Lady Olivia centre between 13:00 and 16:30 today. No matter what you concern may be, they will be available to offer support and guidance.

This does not replace the existing services available via the District Council and if anyone has an emergency housing need or difficulty accessing their property for an emergency need please contact 01480 388388or email mail@huntingdonshire.gov.uk and our customer service team will help guide you to the best source of help and advice.

Should you need support out of working hours you can contact us on 01480 434167 for any urgent accommodation needs and for any other emergency where you or neighbours may be in imminent danger.

The District Council has extremely limited powers and consequently very few resources to deploy in relation to flooding over and above playing a coordination role. Put simply, HDC is not in a position to provide protection for private properties in the event of flooding. However the council's website has links to guidance and agencies that can assist here.
